The Chardonnay expresses itself with a distinctive minerality and a touch of Blanc Vrai (aka Pinot Blanc) complements this unique Blanc de Blancs with a hint of generosity. The nose brings to mind white peach and pear but also more floral notes such as peony. Minerality, lightly biscuity, creamy, supple and seductive. 36 months on the lees.
Food Pairing: white meats, smoked salmon with citrus fruits, tagliatelle with scallops.
Organic, Low Sulfite
The house, founded in 1808, produces both vintage and non-vintage cuvee from parcels of land which are particularly well exposed and extremely rich in limestone. For the most part they are located around Urville region of Champagne, where Pinot Noir, the predominant grape variety, finds its loveliest expression and allows the production of very elegant, aromatic wines.
